Shantelle & Brian Wedding
Shantelle & Brian planned a very fun, chic, art-deco inspired wedding for this past November. The weather (for Saskatchewan) was unseasonably warm (+14C !) and it was a bonus for them and their wedding party to wear their black and gold customized converse sneakers instead of winter boots. Shantelle had an amazing pair of converse that were shin-high, along with her fishnet stockings, beautiful flowy dress, and Gatsby-esque jewelry. Dreamy.
These two pay close attention to detail, and even had mock (wedding) show posters made up and hung on the bulletin board of the theatre where the ceremony was held. The local Broadway Theatre was a perfect venue for the style of this wedding (we threw popcorn “confetti” with the wedding party), and we were lucky enough to have their lovable sheepdog, Mabel, attend the ceremony as well. After the ceremony, we took a stroll up Broadway Avenue for a cupcake cheers at Crave, and then to the local Vinyl Diner for these record enthusiasts. A quiet afternoon pint (which I fully endorse for any wedding couple during the timeline of their day) was had at The Woods Ale House. Heartfelt toasts were given at the reception, some included tears, but mostly a lot of laughter. The bride and groom at the end of the speeches gave everyone a 5 minute countdown with instructions that everyone… EVERYONE… be on the dance floor for the first dance. It was a super-genius party move and I’ve never seen anything like it!
Many congrats to you Shantelle & Brian!
Cheers,
Steph
